About
I am a graphic designer.
I have worked as a storyboarder, shop attendant, art teacher, popcorn maker, fair hostess, illustratress, layouter, copywriter and many other things. All I really wants to do is draw
, travel and write. I have made magazines, card games, book covers and posters and love a good challenge.
My work has been showcased on the lampposts and forgotten corners of Krefeld and Wiesbaden, in the MAIL ME ART exhibit in London (2010) and in the minisprech exhibition in Düsseldorf and Berlin (2008), it has also been published in KUSH!, a Latvian comic magazine and MASTA # 3 an international magazine on streetart and culture. I have been illustrating for the 360° Magazine and done several album booklets for the electronic music artist kikai.
Right now, after working as a Junior Designer in Hamburg at das Fürstentum (and exploring packaging design) i work as a Graphicdesigner at an architecture firm and am getting into Photography some more.
I was born in Mettmann, North Rhine Westphalia in 1984 and raised close to the forest in a small town in Hessen. My grandfather taught me to draw and paint in watercolors.
I played in the forest (i still can build a pretty darn good fort) and read comics until i was sent to grammar school. In school i argued with my art teacher and fell in love with books. After finishing highschool with very good grades I decided to study something I would not need them for. 2004 I moved to Krefeld to study Graphic Design. 2010 I finished my studies with a #1 degree. I just now looked through your website. Pretty cool.
I wish I could find all the little drawings you put on my German Worksheets. I really don’t know what happened to them in moves and this and that. And the Peace Partners Album Artwork whatever sounds pretty cool. Is it the one with the little paper people? I just looked it up on iTunes.
thank you
oh, i only now remembered all those drawings from German class..haha! yes, it’s the paper people one (though i didn’t make the covers, just the booklets – some of the covers are eh..not very good..)
Do you have a blog or a flickr to put all your artwork on ? i think you should
! keep thinking of that one figure at the window – amazing shades!
Thanks. No, I haven’t really. I need to figure out how to make a webpage one of these days. People have been asking. I think that my dad can probably help me figure it out, in my free time (that I don’t really have.)
Hey again Clara,
Sorry to bother you again, but I just thought I’d let you know that Train Faces has a brand new FaceBook page, just in case you want to ‘like’ it
